To get a birth certificate of a child, you should visit nearest or concerned Union council (UC) or Cantonment Board Office.

Overall responsibility of issuing a birth certificate in Pakistan is given to Union Councils (UCs). Computerized birth certificate is issued by Union Council and their system is directly connected to NADRA.

Requirements:

1. Hospital Birth Certificate

To get a birth certificate of child in Pakistan, one should have a proof of birth from hospital which is issued after birth of a child from hospitals across Pakistan (not mandatory).

2. Photocopy of CNIC

Father of the child will have to produce a copy of CNIC.

3. Affidavit

Depends upon Union Council office, if they demand an affidavit in lieu of hospital birth certificate.

4. Fee Rs. 200/-

A sum of Rs. 200/- are also required to be deposited along with the form.

Processing Time:

Concerned department can take up to 7 working days to provide a Birth Certificate.
